Privacy Policy
How this site handles your information.
Last updated November 4, 2026
This site, Mark924, is run by Randy Skiles. This page explains what information the site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. In short: we collect your email address only if you give it to us, and we do not sell it.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you sign up using the “Get updates + fresh content” form in the footer or the weekly song form on the Music page. We also receive the date and time you signed up and which form you used.
- Basic technical data. Like any website, our host receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you ask for in its normal server records. We do not use this to identify you.
The site does not use advertising trackers or analytics tools that follow you around the web.
How we use it
- To send you updates, including the weekly song, if you signed up for them.
- To keep the site running and secure.
We do not sell or rent your email address, and we do not share it except with the services listed below that help us run the site.
Services that help us run the site
- Netlify hosts the website and receives the signup forms.
- Google Drive holds the spreadsheet we use to keep the signup list.
- Dropbox stores the song files. When you play or download a song, your device asks Dropbox for the file, so Dropbox can see things like your IP address.
- Vimeo plays the videos. When a video loads, Vimeo may collect information such as your IP address. We turn on Vimeo’s do-not-track setting.
- Sharing and outside links. The share window and links to other websites (such as Facebook, X, WhatsApp and YouTube) only take you to those services if you click them.
These services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle information.
Cookies and browser storage
The site does not set cookies of its own. It uses your browser’s session storage to remember that you have already seen the opening animation on the home page. That note stays in your browser and disappears when you close the tab. After you sign up with your email address, the site also keeps that address in your browser’s local storage so other sign-up forms can be filled in for you. It is never sent anywhere by this, and you can clear it any time by clearing the site’s data in your browser. The services above may set their own cookies.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email we send with “unsubscribe,” or by contacting us at the address below. We will remove you.
- Ask to see, correct or delete the information we have about you by contacting us.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
